Standby & On-Call Security Officer

Join Hammerhead Security Solutions on our ongoing standby and on-call roster. Standby officers are contacted when emergency call-offs, new temporary accounts, special coverage, short-notice assignments, events, fire watch, or other client needs create additional work. This opportunity is designed for qualified security professionals who want extra income, side work, flexible assignments, or who are not looking for a steady weekly schedule. Off-duty law enforcement, retired law enforcement, former law enforcement, experienced security officers, and other qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. Assignment availability is not guaranteed and varies by market, client need, credentials, availability, and travel preference.

On-call / standby. No guaranteed hours. Assignments may include emergency call-off coverage, new or temporary client accounts, special events, fire watch, access control, warehouse/distribution, residential, retail, construction, and other unarmed security work. Availability can include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the officer’s stated preferences.

Reliable communication and transportation; professional conduct; ability to accept or decline short-notice assignments; a current security officer license/registration where required by the state or assignment; and the ability to satisfy site/client qualifications. Law-enforcement experience is welcomed but is not required. All applicants are considered under the same lawful job-related qualification standards.

Flexible opportunity to earn additional income without committing to a fixed weekly schedule. Officers choose whether to accept offered assignments. Assignment-specific details, location, schedule, client requirements, and exact pay are provided before acceptance.
